PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment device functioning to heat synthetic fiber filament yarns with the saturated steam of a heating medium, with its height as a whole shorter than conventional ones in its setting on the relevant draw false-twister so as to reduce the cost of the building accommodating the device. SOLUTION: This heat treatment device has the following structure: an airtight vessel with the saturated steam of the heating medium contained therein is formed long sideways, and the heating surface representing the outside surface of the airtight vessel is turned downward and located above the heating medium level inside a boiler.
