SNUBBER ROLL CAPABLE OF PREVENTING SLIDE OF STRIP

PURPOSE: A snubber roll capable of preventing slide of strip is provided which maintains transfer of the strip more stably by mounting a braking wheel on the roll axis of the snubber roll and stopping the braking wheel using a separate braking device according to tension change of the strip pressed by the snubber roll. CONSTITUTION: In a snubber roll(8) rotationally mounted on the operating arm so that a strip(1) is pressed between the snubber roll(8) and bridle roll(6) as the snubber roll is being pivot rotated centering around a hinge shaft of an operating arm by a hydraulic cylinder connected to one end of the operating arm. the snubber roll capable of preventing slide of strip comprises a base bracket(12) adhered to an end of the opposite side to the hydraulic cylinder of the operating arm to rotationally support a rotation shaft(11) of the snubber roll(8); a braking wheel(15) integrally adhered to the circumference of the rotation shaft(11) so that the braking wheel(15) is rotated along with the rotation shaft(11) of the snubber roll(8) at the inner side of the base bracket(12); a pair of braking masses(23) installed at both sides of the braking wheel(15) to control rotation of the braking wheel(15) through a pressing block pressed or released by an actuator connected to an air supply line(17); and a case body adhered to an extension end(13) of one side of the base bracket(12) so that the braking masses(23) are surrounded by an internal space.
