PURPOSE: A beam of a bumper for a vehicle is provided to protect a pedestrian by restricting the knee of the pedestrian from being bent excessively with supporting the leg of the pedestrian in bumping the pedestrian into the bumper of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A bumper beam for a vehicle is composed of a cubical body(10) arranged longitudinally to a bumper; an edge(12) integrally formed around the body and fixed in the bumper; plural connecting pieces(14) integrally extended in the edge formed in the lower part of the body; and a supporting member(18) integrally fixed in the end of the connecting piece and extended longitudinally to the body to prevent the legs of the pedestrian from being broken. The legs of the pedestrian are protected by supporting the legs of the pedestrian with the supporting member.
