PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that decreases a change in exposure potential caused by a decrease in initial potential and ensures stable exposure potential. SOLUTION: The image forming device has an electrification means (2) for electrifying the surface of a photoreceptor (1), an exposure means (3) for irradiating the electrified area of the photoreceptor with a specific quantity of light, thereby forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor, and a quantitative light control means (10) for controlling a quantity of light. In the image forming device, the quantitative light control means (10) is provided with a first quantitative light setting means and a second quantitative light setting means. The first quantitative light setting means sets, based upon information about the propagation characteristic of charges in the photoreceptor, a first quantity of exposure light that is used for the initial stage of the start of printing. The second quantitative light setting means sets a second quantity of exposure light that is used after the initial stage. |
