GAS GENERATING AGENT COMPOSITION AND AIR BAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas generating agent composition having high combustion performance and excellent stability with time at high temperature and generating substantially no harmful combustion gas. SOLUTION: The gas generating agent composition contains (a) an ammonium oxyacid salt, (b) powdery microcrystal carbon and (c) a stabilizer to suppress the natural decomposition of the gas generating agent composition. The oxygen balance of the gas generating agent composition is in the range satisfying -0.50 <=(oxygen balance (g/g) in the gas generating agent composition) <= -0.01. The oxygen balance of the gas generating agent excluding the component (b) is in the range satisfying the relation of 0 <= (oxygen balance (g/g) of the composition excluding the component (b)) <= 0.20.
