<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the optical pulse train generated in an RHML-FRL. SOLUTION: The optical pulse laser apparatus comprises an optical fiber ring having an optical fiber, an optical amplifier, and a modulator for optically modulating; and an electric signal oscillator for generating a high-frequency electric signal. When the electric signal having a frequency fm is applied to the modulator, the pulse laser apparatus generates the optical pulse train having a repetition period fm . When the resonance frequency of the optical fiber ring is fc , the frequency of the modulation signal applied to the modulator is detuned from the high frequency electric signal fm by the frequency obtained by dividing the resonance frequency fc by an integer (p), and thereby the optical pulse train of the repetition frequency of (p) times as large as fm +fc /p or fm -fc /p is generated. The pulse laser apparatus further comprises an optical pulse stabilizer for stabilizing the optical pulse train by suppressing a carrier component and a partial harmonic component.</p> |
