PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image pickup device, having a zooming function and equipped with an auxiliary light unit illuminating a subject for focus detection to perform stable automatic focus adjustment with high precision. SOLUTION: According to the focal length of a zoom lens unit 10, a control part of a driving control part 20 moves a range finding frame for focus detection, performs focus detection by the range finding frame according to the illumination light from a light emitting diode 30 as the auxiliary light unit illuminating the subject for focus detection, and drives the zoom lens unit 10 according to detected focus detection information. |
