PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet containing C, Si and Mn, which can be satis factorily phosphated even when containing a comparatively large amount of Si. SOLUTION: This steel sheet has 80% or less of a ratio of Si-containing oxide occupying in 10μm length of the steel sheet surface in an average measured on arbitrarily selected five places, when a cross section in the transversal direction to the steel sheet surface is observed with an electron microscope at a magnification of 50,000 times or higher.
