PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a system capable of adding a browsing limitation later to a transmitted e-mail. SOLUTION: This E-mail system 10 comprises a transmitter's personal computer 16, a receiver's personal computer 22, and a state server 28, which are mutually network-connected. The personal computer 16 comprises a means for cutting the contents of an e-mail and storing it in a control program; a means for attaching the control program to the e-mail; a means for reporting the initial information for the e-mail to the state server 28 after transmission; and a means for reporting the browsing limitation information for the e-mail to the state server 28 after reporting the initial information. The state server 28 comprises a means for transmitting the browsing limitation information to the personal computer 22 in the output of a transmission request of the browsing limitation information for the e-mail. The personal computer 22 determines whether the contents of the e-mail is displayed or not on the basis of the browsing limitation information transmitted from the state server 28.
