PURPOSE: To provide a compressor load torque estimation device capable of improving drivability in transmission by stabilizing an engine drive in switching of an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: This compressor load torque estimation device A for estimating the load torque of a compressor 29 provided so that the rotation torque of an internal combustion engine 1 can be transmitted through a clutch member 37 comprises: a first load torque estimation means A1 for estimating a first load torque estimation value Tcs on the basis of the output value HP of a coolant pressure sensor 38 and the rotating speed Ne of the internal combustion engine; a second load torque estimation means A2 for calculating a second load torque Tca on the basis of the outside air temperature THA and the rotating speed Ne of the internal combustion engine; and an estimated load torque determination means A3 for mutually comparing the first and second load torque estimation values Tcs and Tca and estimating the larger one as the load torque of the compressor 29.
