METHOD FOR ESTIMATING HIGH-SPEED MOVEMENT USING CENTER POINT OF GRAVITY OF OBJECT

PURPOSE: A method for estimating high-speed movement using the center point of gravity of an object is provided to increase the search speed for searching the location of a moved object by using the initial motion vector which is the variation between the center point of gravity of the moved object and previous object. CONSTITUTION: An image sequence unit(1) inputs an image to a motion estimator(4). An object mask sequence unit(2) outputs an object mask according to image sequences outputted from the image sequence unit. An initial motion vector calculator(3) calculates a variation between the center point of gravity of a current object and the center point of gravity of a previous object by using the object mask inputted from the object mask sequence unit. The motion estimator receives the initial motion vector calculated by the initial motion vector calculator and receiving signals inputted from the each image sequence unit.
