PURPOSE: A clamping device is provided to flexibly and precisely position and fix a second block as a work pallet to a first block as a table or a pallet of a machine tool. CONSTITUTION: Two positioning devices(4,5) are horizontally spaced apart from two clamping devices(6) at predetermined intervals. Each of the positioning devices includes a positioning hole(23) opened to a work pallet(2); a plug portion(27) protruded from a clamp pallet(1) to insert into the positioning hole; and an intermediate member(30) interposed between the plug portion and the positioning hole, and expanded and contracted in the diametral direction. The intermediate member is supported to move upward and downward by the plug portion and taper-hung on the positioning hole. The intermediate member applies force upward by an elastic member. The clamping device fixes the work pallet to the clamp pallet.
