PURPOSE: An active local information offering method is provided to adjust a service location boundary in offering the local information by defining or controlling unification separators and near separators of a location code table called G area code table. CONSTITUTION: A G_area code table is constructed in a database. The G_area code table includes a country code, a large scale location code, a small area location code, a unified location code and a near area location code. The G_area code table is added to the records of a database. Then the user searches for desired information by constructing search conditions with the stored tags, specially the G_area code.
