PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having activities for inhibiting production and secretion of amyloid β protein, and useful as a prophylactic and therapeutic agent of Alzheimer's disease. SOLUTION: This amine derivative is a compound represented by the formula [wherein, Ar is a ring-collected aromatic group or a condensed aromatic group; X is (i) a bond, (ii) -S-, -SO- or -SO2 -, (iii) a 1-6C alkylene, 2-6C alkenylene or a 2-6C alkynylene each of which may have one to three substituents selected from oxo and a 1-6C alkyl, (iv)-CO-O-or (v) a group represented by formulas -(CH2 )p-X<1> -, -(CH2 )p-X<1> -(CH2 )q-, -(CH2 )r-CO-X<1> -, -SO2 -NR<8> - or -(CH2 )r-SO2 -NR<8> -; Y is a divalent 1-6C aliphatic hydrocarbon group; R<1> and R<2> are each a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl, or form a nitrogen-containing heterocycle; A-ring is a benzene ring; and B-ring is a 4-8-membered ring], or a salt thereof.
