PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for facilitating the analysis of data on a serial interface by packing a serial interface observation monitoring function in the channel device of an input and output device. SOLUTION: An unused channel LSI 171 having the serial interface observation monitoring function using the packing of two or more channel devices in one LSI and the loading of an LSI internal memory of large capacity is connected between the channel device 123 of a channel LSI 170 and the input and output device 30, and the transmitting and receiving data on the serial interface of the channel device 0 of the channel LSI 170 and the input and output device 30 are accumulated in a serial interface observation monitoring device 180 within the channel devices 0-1 of the unused channel LSI 171, whereby the function allowing the analysis of data on the serial interface is realized.
