BROADBAND RELAY SYSTEM FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION SERVICE

PURPOSE: A broadband relay system for a mobile communication service is provided to transmit a subscriber signal with a broad band width of scores or MHz to hundreds of MHz to allow more many subscribers to simultaneously communicate with each other by converting a radio frequency signal into a millimeter wave signal to transmit it to a remote relay unit of a propagation shadow area and converting the millimeter wave into a radio signal by the remote relay unit to relay it to a subscriber terminal. CONSTITUTION: A base station linking relay unit(100) converts a forward radio signal into a forward millimeter wave signal to transmit it through a first millimeter wave antenna(140) and converts a backward millimeter wave received through the first millimeter wave antenna(140) into a backward radio frequency signal to transmit it to a subscriber terminal(300) of a mobile communication service through a base station service antenna(130) or transmit it to a subscriber terminal of a different communication service through a switching center(500). A remote relay unit(200) converts a forward millimeter wave radio signal received from the base station linking relay unit(100) through a second millimeter wave antenna(240) into a forward radio frequency signal to transmit it to a subscriber terminal(400) of a propagation shade area through a relay unit service antenna(230), and converts a backward radio frequency signal received from a subscriber terminal(400) of a propagation shade area through the relay unit service antenna(230) into a backward millimeter wave signal to transmit it to the base station linking relay unit(100) through the second millimeter wave antenna(240).
