PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker cabinet having high quality external appearance with no connection surface appearing in any surface and also provided with high strength, and a method for manufacturing the speaker cabinet. SOLUTION: In this speaker cabinet 1, an edge face at 45 deg. with respect to each plate surface is formed at four sides of a front plate 10, a rear plate 20, a left side plate 30, a right side plate 40 a top plate 50 and a bottom plate 60 made of wood, and the speaker cabinet 1 is assembled by connecting opposed edge faces with each other. Also, in connection faces where the respective edge faces are connected, a tenon groove 2 (2a to 2c) and a tenon rail part 3 (3a to 3c) formed respectively on the respective opposed edge faces are interfitted.
