PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method and a welding method for repair capable of welding for repair without removing a defect by efficient processing of the inside of the defect, and a repair method and repair welding method for atomic power plant capable of efficiently repairing a defect which occur in an apparatus or a structure in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel. SOLUTION: In this repairing method for processing defect such as a cracking which occurs on any of the surfaces of the respective types of apparatuses or structures, the welding method for repair for sealing the defect part by welding later, and the repairing method and welding method for repair of the atomic power plant, is characterized in that a combustible organic solvent or an organic deoxidizer is penetrated in the defect part, and then the defect part is heated to burn the organic solvent or the organic deoxidizer, or the defect part is heated to remove oxygen in the air or dissolved oxygen in moisture involved in the defect. After the combustible organic solvent or the organic deoxidizer is penetrated in the defect part, the defect part is heated with decompression or under the decompression.
