PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sizing agent for glass fibers with which a glass fiber- reinforced thermoplastic resin having high tensile strength, shock resistance and water resistance can be obtained. SOLUTION: This sizing agent for glass fibers is composed of a non-volatile component and a volatile component. The non-volatile component contains a polyurethane resin, lubricant, silane coupling agent and magnesium chloride. The volatile component contains water.
