PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering a polyarylene sulfide having high thermal stability in a molten state with reduced volatile components through removing low-molecular components therein from a polar organic solvent slurry thereof and also inhibiting the generation of component(s) deteriorating the polyarylene sulfide in its molten state. SOLUTION: This method for recovering the polyarylene sulfide comprises obtaining polyarylene sulfide wet cake by making a solid/liquid separation of the polar organic solvent slurry of the polyarylene sulfide within a specific temperature range, and concurrently putting all of the steps involving the polyarylene sulfide under specific conditions. |
