4-ISOPROPOXY-4'-HYDROXYDIPHENYL SULFONE FOR DEVELOPER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material having high coloring sensitivity and excellent in storage stability of colored image. SOLUTION: This 4-isopropoxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone is obtained by reacting 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone in which Hazen value of melted color is within the range of 200 to 2,000 with an isopropyl halide. This heat-sensitive recording material has a heat-sensitive coloring layer containing a developer and a coloring dye on a support and is obtained by dispersing the developer containing the 4-isopropoxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone as a main ingredient and the coloring dye into a dispersion medium to prepare a dispersion, applying the dispersion onto the support and drying the coated dispersion.
