PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay wherein rotation of an armature is not easily influenced by dimensional errors and deformation of a case and a base housing, and the armature can smoothly rotate. SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic relay 1, the base housing 10 has a projecting part 20 extending upward in the vicinity of one leg part 42 of a flat yoke 40. A former 50 is provided with an extended part 52 having an upper part 52b positioned in the upper part of the one leg part 42 while extending toward the one leg part 42 side from a winding drum part 51, and a recessed part 52c extending side by side with the extended direction of the drum part 41 of the flat yoke 40 is formed in the upper part 52b. The armature 60 has a protrusion 62b protruding upward at the upper end of a rotational shaft part 62. The protrusion 62b is disposed in a space partitioned by the recessed part 52c of the former 50 and the projecting part 20 of the base housing 10.
