FUNNEL GLASS FOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide funnel glass for a cathode-ray tube from which lead hardly eludes, differently from the conventional glass, and in which liquidus temperature hardly increases even if SrO and BaO, and further, SnO2 are contained therein. SOLUTION: The funnel glass for the cathode-ray tube is obtained by adding P2 O5 to funnel glass for a cathode-ray tube having a PbO content of 10 to 30 mass% and also having an X-ray absorption coefficient of >=40 cm<-1> in 0.6Å.
