PURPOSE: To actualize an optical sheet which has high reflection reduction effect on external light even when the lens pitch of a microlens array is small and has light and wide visual field angle characteristics whatever angle an observer views from. CONSTITUTION: The optical sheet comprises a transparent base material, a microlens array 100 comprising a plurality of fine unit lenses formed on one surface of the transparent base material, a diffusion layer 500 which is formed on the opposite surface of the transparent base material from the microlens array formation surface, and a light absorption layer 300, formed on the diffusion layer, having fine aperture parts 400 almost at the focus positions of the unit lenses; and the diffusion layer has transparent particulates, different in refractive index from a transparent medium, in the transparent medium and the mean size of the transparent particulates is in a range of particulate sizes having maximum values Q/R to respective wavelengths in the visible light area, where Q is scatter sectional area per transparent particulate and R is the size of a transparent particulate.
