PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor causing no fatigue cracking by extending a thin inter-metal compound produced at a joint part of an iron-based rotor shaft and an aluminum alloy rotor to avoid deterioration of strength, when manufacturing an aluminum alloy screw-type rotor by casting. SOLUTION: After aluminum or an aluminum alloy sleeve is fitted to the outer periphery of the iron-based rotor shaft, aluminum alloy casting is cast to obtain a thin joint part of inter-metal compound layers. After Cr is plated on the surface of the iron-based rotor shaft in advance and the aluminum or aluminum alloy sleeve is fitted, aluminum alloy casing is cast to obtain a thinner joint part of inter-metal compound layers.
