PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control member that can solve lack of reliability of functions of a controller. SOLUTION: This controller for electronic equipment, to which control force is applicable contains a control member (60) having at least two selectable lateral areas (62, 64, 66, 68) located at the upper side at least in opposite directions, which are associated with lower operating portions operable in cooperation with a trigger member (26) associated with an electrical switch (28). The control member (60) has first and second portions (80, 82), and the first portion (80) supports at least two lateral check areas (63, 64, 66, 68), and the second portion (82) supports at least two lower operating portions and a center stud (84) passing in the vertical direction through the first portion (80).
