PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone by which a user can automatically set a phone main body to a camera mode in a shorter time than that of a conventional phone without the need for making a mode setting operation. SOLUTION: An opening/closing available casing of the mobile phone related to this invention is provided with; a display device 2; a CCD camera 4; an opening/closing detection switch 20; a memory 41; and a control circuit 10. The control circuit 10 detects the opening state of the casing on the basis of the ON/OFF of the opening/closing detection switch 20 and sets the operation of the CCD camera 4 to be ON at a point of detection time to set the phone main body to the camera mode.
