PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading correcting method for eliminating a two-dimensional deflection. SOLUTION: Two-dimensional correcting block data in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction is provided, and the two-dimensional correcting block data is subjected to filtering by a two-dimensional filter 5D. A shading correction of a video signal is conducted by using the processed signal, and a memory for storing the state of a vertical filter is provided.
