<p>PURPOSE: A composition having insecticidal properties and containing an effective amount of Derris Trifoliata Lour and Radix Sophorae Flavescentis is provided. The composition has excellent controlling effect on various pests, in particular Tetranychus urticae, Plutella xylostella, etc., while it is non-toxic to humans, domestic animals and livestock. CONSTITUTION: The natural insecticide composition contains 20 to 80% by weight of the extract of each Derris Trifoliata Lour and Radix Sophorae Flavescentis and additionally 0 to 30% by weight of one or two more of Meliae Cortex, Melia azedarach L. and Azadirachta Indica. It further contains 0.6 to 2.4g of rotenone and 0.04 to 0.16g of matrine as an indicating material, based on 100g of composition. The extract is obtained by extraction with a nonpolar organic solvent at 80deg.C or less for 7hr, repeating the extraction process three times and concentration.</p> |
