PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for discriminating a human for easily determining the authenticity of a specified part in a human body at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with an antenna arranged in connection with a prescribed part which is disposed in a sensor to fetch data for specifying an individual and where the specified part of the human body acts and with a detecting means for detecting the electric output characteristic of an electric circuit which includes the antenna when an object works at the prescribed part. Thus, the human discriminating device is constituted which discriminates the authenticity of the specified part in the human body based on the change of the electric output characteristic which is detected by the detecting means. In the method for discriminating the human, the antenna is arranged in relation to the prescribed part which is arranged in the sensor to fetch data intrinsic to the individual and where the specified part of the human body acts, the electric output characteristic of the electric circuit including the antenna is detected when the object other than the specified part of the human body acts at the prescribed position and, then, the authenticity of the specified part of the human body is discriminated based on the change of the electric output characteristic.
