PURPOSE: A parking brake system of a vehicle is provided to simplify a structure and to prevent the loosing of a cable by moving a shoe assembly to a drum with a wheel cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A parking brake system of a vehicle comprises a pair of webs(1); a shoe lining assembly; a wheel cylinder(7) and an operating device(10). A pair of webs is connected to a return spring(9). The shoe lining assembly comprises a rim and a lining. The shoe lining assembly is equipped inside a drum. The wheel cylinder equips a piston. The piston is moved by hydraulic pressure generated by operating of a foot brake. Therein, the piston pressurizes both sides of the shoe lining assembly toward the drum. The operating device compresses both sides of the shoe lining assembly toward the drum by operating the wheel cylinder with a cable(Cd). The cable is stretched when a parking lever is operated.
