PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic business transaction system for identifying a customer by the telephone number or mail address of a portable telephone set or a fixed telephone set. SOLUTION: In the electronic business transaction system enabling a customer to select a commodity in a retail store, require to purchase the commodity and pay the price of the commodity by a credit card, a store terminal 3 identifies the customer by allowing a customer number reading means 5 to read out the telephone number or mail address of the portable telephone set 1 which is displayed as numerals, characters and/or a bar code by a present station number display means 2 through a scanner 4 in the terminal 3. In the electronic business transaction system enabling the customer to select a commodity in a store on the Internet, require to purchase the commodity and pay the price, the store terminal 3, the customer's fixed telephone set 13, a customer terminal 11, and a customer's transaction bank 14 are mutually connected through a communication line and the terminal 3 identifies the customer on the basis of the telephone number or mail address of the fixed telephone set 13. |
