PURPOSE: A bank note counter is provided to bundle the bank notes counted as many as the number selected by a user with a paper band, so that it can make it easy carrying or managing the bank notes. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a bank note stacker(8), a paper band winding roller(9), paper band supply rollers(10, 11), the first feeder(13), the second feeder(15), the third feeder(17), a gripper(19), a push roller(22), an adhesive supply roller, a cutter(25), and an adhesion roller(27). The bank note stacker(8), formed of two concave portions at the center, stacks the bank notes to be counted via a wing. The paper band winding roller(9) releases the paper band wound around a circumference. The paper band supply rollers(10, 11) rotate normally or reversely for controlling the length of the paper band to be fed. The first feeder(13) feeds the paper band around the bank note stacker(8) by being geared with a gear(12). The second feeder(15) covers the paper band around a rear part of the staked bank notes. The third feeder(17), having a cutting groove in one body, fully covers the paper band around the stacked bank notes. The gripper(19) selectively grips the paper band, fed by the third feeder(17), by widening or closing a pair of gripping legs. The push roller(22) pushes a center of the staked paper notes while it is rotating. The adhesive supply roller supplies the adhesive for an end part of the paper band if the paper band gets tight by rotating the rollers(10, 11) reversely. The cutter(25) moves to a position in contact with the cutting groove of the third feeder(17), and then cuts the paper band with a cutting blade. The adhesion roller(17) bundles the bank notes by adhering a start end of the paper band to a rear end of that.
