A belt (1) for a continuously variable transmission (CVT) comprising a loop-like endless band (2), which has a body (6) made of elastomeric material having an external toothing (8) and a plurality of longitudinal cord inserts (7) embedded in the body (6), as well as a plurality of transmission members (3) having mutually inclined flanks (4) for engament with a vee-shaped race (5) of a pulley (P) and including, each, an inner block (12) made of plastic material and moulded on the endless band (2) in such a way to completely surround a portion of the band (2) and embed a tooth (10) of the band (2), and a pair of half-shell friction covering members (20) fitted transversally onto the inner block (12) and defining the flanks (4) of the transmission members (3). |
