The invention relates to a novel safety mechanism and safety device comprising two connected modules which form one unit. The novelty of the inventive device lies in the fact that, for the purposes of improved strength and resistence, each of the parts of said device is disposed in a straight line and moves by means of the connection points thereof. The purpose of the invention is the production of a device that affords all the advantages and durability characteristics not offered by other mechanisms currently available on the market, such as clasps, fasteners, pins, safety catches, safes, etc.
