The body to carry fibers separated from a sliver, to the rotor spinning zone of an open-end spinner, has a guide wall (2) where the fibers are collected at the entry opening (30) into a feed channel (3). The channel entry opening is defined by a separating wall (4), aligned against the fiber feed direction, and a pair of side edges (5,6), with the wall behind the opening. The feed channel expands after the entry opening, and then follows a smooth taper towards its trailing end. The channel opening is partially shrouded by a cover (7), with its leading end closer to the gathering wall (40) than the separating wall.
