Process for screening objects emitting radioactivity involves placing a cassette in front of the object. The cassette is filled with granules of radiation-absorbing material, which can be removed from the base of the cassette after use. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above process, comprising cassettes (1) hanging from a ceiling or frame and having upper and lower supports (2, 3) connected to feed lines (5) via which the granules absorbing the radioactive radiation are added to and removed from the cassettes. Preferred Features: The granules are made from lead, and have a grain size of approximately 1 mm. The cassettes are removed by suctioning of the granules.
