Method for measurement value determination in an arrangement comprising an array of fiber optic Bragg grating sensors with different frequency selectivity. Accordingly the grating sensors are acted upon with light and the resulting signals from the sensors detected and, dependent on the their respective position in the frequency spectrum assigned to a particular grating sensor, whereby additionally temporal changes in the frequency of the signal are dynamically measured and evaluated. Evaluation of the dynamic behavior is used to determine the direction, speed or acceleration of the time varying frequency change. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for implementation of the inventive method.
