摘要 A controller of a hybrid vehicle capable of sufficiently assuring a regenerative amount and remarkably improving a fuel consumption without havi ng adverse effects on the proper control of exhaust emission, comprising an engine as the drive source of the vehicle and a motor, the engine of a cylinder resting type, switchable between an all-cylinder operation for operating all cylinders and an all-cylinder rest operation for resting all cylinders, further comprising a cylinder rest discrimination means discriminating between the all-cylinder operation and the all-cylinder rest operation depending on the operating state of the vehicle and a regenerative amount compensating means for increasing, as the compensated regenerative amount of the motor, the increased amount of a deceleration energy obtained by the all-cylinder rest operation more than that obtained by the all- cylinder operation when the all-cylinder rest operation is discriminated by the cylinder rest discrimination means and the engine performs the all-cylinder rest operation (for example, step S311 of the embodiment), wherein a fuel supply to the engine is stopped when the vehicle is being decelerated and a regenerative braking is performed by the motor according to the state of deceleration.
