<p>A differential signal is formed between a first channel signal and a second channel signal of a PCM signal input. Each of the differential signal and the second channel signal is time-differentially encoded and the time-differentially encoded signal is divided into a predetermined bit unit. A predetermined bit unit of the data divided is subjected to adaptive encoding. The data which has been adaptively encoded is arranged in data of a predetermined format, thereby completing an encoding method.</p> |
