A method for securing loads inside a vehicle has a system of telescopic struts which are positioned around the load. The struts have at least one end sprung and both ends are fitted with thrust grips to lock into support profiles inside the vehicle or simply to grip onto any surface. The telescopic action is operated by a lever driven ratchet on each strut. The strut setting is secured by an internal braking system.
