KARYOTYPE PROCESSING METHODS AND DEVICES

The present invention includes methods of and devices to create, maintain and take advantage of a cytogenetic database. Patient data is entered into a database (402) and is associated with a unique patient identifier. Karyotypes are prepared (414) for the patient and associated with the unique patient identifier. The database includes a user interface (812) that allows a user to select and reorient individual chromosomes to prepare the karyotype. In addition, the database can be used to compose cytogenetic problems with the user interface. Particular aspects of the present invention are described in the claims, specification and drawings.
