A method for communication between software modules (6-8) for data exchange where the software modules (6-8) are networked within a control device (1) by means of a software-controlled, internal, virtual data bus system (5). Data is sent in the form of messages/news items provided with an identifier for identifying the message contents message, and/or address information for identifying the receiver. The messages/news items are transmitted between the software modules (6-8) in the same message format.
