<p>The invention relates to a method for the continuous measurement of wear in relation to a tyre casing. The inventive method is characterised in that it consists in: measuring the electrical resistance or capacitance inside a tread design element (1) of said casing; and deducing the height of said element (1) using a relationship that links said capacitance or resistance to the height.
