OPTICAL FILTER MODULE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A precise V−shaped groove is formed on main surfaces of an upper flat substrate and a lower flat substrate so that an optical fiber protrudes. The optical fiber is mounted on one of the flat substrates, and a multi−layered film filter (2) is inserted in a filter insertion groove (1) formed across the precise V−shaped groove in the main surface of the other flat substrate. The multi−layered film filter is sandwiched to be fixed by the two flat substrates using the protruding optical fiber and the other precise V−shaped groove as guide rails. In the thus−obtained optical filter module, the number of steps for optical axis adjustment between input and output optical fibers is reduced, and the position of the optical filter to be inserted is little deviated.
