Hose union has connector components combining hard and soft corrugated materials

Two sections of e.g. automotive hose are linked by a two-part push-fit union (1) consisting of a first flexible multi-layered hose (2). The first layer (3) is of corrugated metal and surrounded by an elastic flexible plastic or rubber bush (4) which also fills the corrugated troughs. The layer (3) end-section (5) protrudes from elastic bush (4). The second part (6) of the union (1) is a metal or thermoplastic tube with a push-fit section (7) of smaller diameter than the outer diameter (8) of the second part. The transition between the outer surface (8) and push-fit section (7) has a circular bead (9).
