CABLE CONNECTOR

A cable connector used for connecting cables (23, 24) having a plurality of conductors. Cable side insulators (26, 27) for arraying and holding the conductors on one plane are made removable from a base insulator (13) holdin g contacts. The cable side insulators connect the conductors to contacts when mounted in the base insulator. This base insulator has a pair of base guide portions (15) extending while confronting each other. The cable side insulators have a pair of cover guide portions (45) for guiding the movement s of the insulators. At least either of the base guide portions or the cover guide portions have projections for keeping them press-fitted to each other when the cables are connected.
