A method of determining weightings of an investment portfolio selected from a range of domestic and international financial investments, the method including the steps of a) dividing said range of investments into a pluralit y of groups, for example industry based groups; b) selecting one of said group s; c) determining an industry weighting for the selected group; d) determining a domestic weighting for the selected group; e) determining a mixture of financial investments within the selected group whereby the mixture consists of: 1) exclusively said domestic financial investments if said domestic weighting equals or exceeds said industry weighting; otherwise 2) domestic financial investments having a weighting equal to the domestic weighting and international financial investments having a weighting equal to the industry weighting minus the domestic weighting; and f) repeating steps b) to e) for all of said groups, thereby forming the weightings of the investment portfol io.
