<p>A two phase catalyst with one or more transition metals ofCu, Co, Fe, Ag and Mo supported on a molecular sieve having a pore size not less than 4 Å and a stabilizing oxide of one or more of the oxides of Zr, Mo, V, Nb or the rare earth is disclosed and used in a method of remediating the concentration of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in a combustion exhaust stream by contacting the exhaust stream with one or more organic reductants in the presence of water at a temperature not greater than 600 °C with the catalyst. Cu and CeO2 are the preferred catalytic components on a zeolite. Reductants are preferably organic and more preferably C1-C16 organics.</p> |
