<p>The invention relates to the recycling of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) and can be also used for fluorating and/or chlorinating any other materials. The inventive method consists in recycling SNF using chemically active gases as initial reagents. The SNF to be reprocessed is embodied in the form of fuel assemblies which are brought to each other along a common longitudinal axis inside a production reactor in such a way that a manufacturing clearance is obtained. Chemical reactions are initiated by means of electrospark processes and laser radiation. The inventive device for recycling SNF comprises an external protective body, processing units and systems for supplying initial chemical reagents and removing produced substances. The hermetic body of the production reactor is provided with two oppositely and axially arranged operating branches of a controlled counter-supply of the recycled SNF. Said body of the production reactor is provided with assemblies for inputting the laser radiation and a unit for introducing containers. Said invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the SNF recycling, develop ecological reprocessing, improve nuclear safety of the recycling of the SNF and other radioactive materials and waste.</p> |
